Job Responsibilities

As a Data Engineer you will collaborate with a team of engineers to ensure that data flows to and from our machine learning system efficiently and reliably:

 ● Architect a secure, performant repository of climate data

 ● Acquire, ingest, and make external data sets accessible
 ● Build reliable, scalable data processing pipelines


 ● Boston region preferred

 ● US remote OK

Job Requirements

  Must-Have Qualifications:

   ● Demonstrated commercial results storing and processing geospatial data at scale

     ● Example tools: NetCDF, PostGIS, Zarr, HDF, GRIB, GeoTIFF, GeoJSON

   ● Experience building and managing Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) data flows

   ● US work authorization (no visa sponsorship)

  Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

   ● Familiarity with meteorological and climate data

   ● Experience with cloud compute platforms (e.g. GCP, AWS, Azure) 

   ● Knowledge of source control (git), issue tracking (JIRA)

   ● Previous experience with startups, agile/scrum, software teamwork
